Information we collect
When you send a project enquiry, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, project postcode, project type, preferred contact method, project details, project timing, whether drawings are available and any optional files or other information you choose to provide.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use enquiry information to assess your request, communicate with you, arrange follow-up discussions and maintain an appropriate record. This processing is necessary for our legitimate interests in responding to genuine business enquiries and, where you ask us to take steps towards providing services, to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. Where a particular optional use relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Required information
Fields marked as required on the enquiry form are needed so that we can understand and respond to your request. If you do not provide them, we may be unable to assess the project or contact you. Optional information and attachments are not required.
Recipients and service providers
Information is available only to people who need it to handle the enquiry and to service providers acting on our behalf. Relevant categories include website hosting, WordPress and form-software providers, website administration support and email-delivery or email-hosting providers. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell enquiry information as a mailing list.
Storage and retention
Form entries are stored privately within the WordPress website and are also delivered to the business enquiry inbox. Enquiry records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage any resulting project, meet legal or accounting requirements and resolve disputes. The period therefore depends on whether an enquiry progresses, the nature of the correspondence and applicable record-keeping obligations. Records that are no longer required should be securely deleted.
Cookies, security and embedded services
The website may use essential cookies and limited technical information for security, administration and reliable operation. Embedded services, such as maps, may receive technical information as if you visited that provider directly. Reasonable access controls are used, but no internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
